About me
Welcome to my Website!
This is simply my piece of the Internet where I can do as I please. I can experiment, blog, post pictures and videos and more importantly learn from it all.
I work with computers and associated equipment. I come from a software development background but now specialise in the infrastructure side of things. I’ve got a super varied skillset and like to learn and build upon it.
I’ve owned this domain for the last 10 years and have had all sorts of stuff hosted on it. Before Facebook and the Social Network boom we’d use blogs to share, mine phased out as family life came around and media sharing was happening via other channels.
The purpose of this blog now is to share some of my current experiences and hold some of my digital stuff such as photos, links and random musings. I get up to quite a lot which might be of interest to others if I document some of it
I love technology and computers so there might be posts relating to that, I guess I’ll only post stuff I deem interesting which will probably be anything that sways away from the ordinary.
Music has always been something that keeps me sane and like most people it has been a big part of my life. I’ve spent a lot of time DJing at house music events locally and with a group of friends we set up and promoted our own events under the name of Distorted Funk until it was realised that the effort outweighed the gain in that particular venture. From a music production angle I’ve got quite a few tracks that I’ve started and probably never will finish. I have a lot to learn in this area but not enough time to give to it.
Since being a young boy I’ve been interested in engines, mostly influenced by my father. I’ve had numerous motorbikes and cars throughout the years and enjoyed rebuilding, modifying and working on them. I currently have a “regular” car for commuting and a 2004 Honda CR125 motocross bike as a toy. There is something about the small capacity 2 stroke bikes that I love. You can’t beat the peaky power band, the sound and the smell of 2 stroke oil!
As I’ve got older the need to travel and see different places has started to become of interest, more so since having children. To allow us to fully make use of the small chunks of non-work time and go exploring we have a 2007 Bailey Ranger 550 Touring Caravan.
